Commander Cody & Band –
Ever since his wild early days as a front man for the Lost Planet Airmen, Commander Cody, a truly unique and iconoclastic figure, has brought his barrel house, rockabilly, boogie-woogie piano playing to the American music scene. He scored a Top 10 hit off his debut album with the song “Hot Rod Lincoln.”
Cody’s crew includes Mark Emerick (The Marshall Tucker Band) on guitar and Steve Barbuto on drums. They practice a loose-jointed, rollicking brand of bar-room boogie woogie that sounds like it’s been steeped in beer fumes. They are legendary for marathon live shows. Don’t miss the The Commander Cody Band traveling road show, a unique blend of redneck country, rockabilly, blues, boogie woogie piano and old time rock ‘n’ roll. www.commandercody.com Tickets are $12.00. Showtime is 9pm.
