CLEVELAND, OH – Commemorate Cleveland’s dog days of summer with NEO Food Tours by exploring the vibrant Shaker Square neighborhood. August’s signature tour will feature Shaker Square’s restaurants, including Sarava, Fire, and Grotto. With 5 of the Square’s restaurants named to Plain Dealer’s 2011 A-List (including Sarava, Grotto and Fire), this neighborhood is a true foodie paradise.
The tour meets on August 17 at 6:20 pm at Chef Sergio Abramof’s Sarava. The restaurant is named for a Brazilian greeting which perfectly represents its warm hospitality. A Brazil native, Chef Abramof has captured the essence of the country in his award-winning menu. The beautiful patio, reminiscent of Rio de Janeiro, is home to weekly live music.
Throughout the tour, the group will make stops at other restaurants such as Fire and Grotto. Attendees can expect an intimate dining experience. The event begins with an appetizer at the first restaurant and concluding at the last stop with a delectable dessert.
Each restaurant will pair a small dish chosen especially for the evening with a unique drink or wine. Between restaurants, a neighborhood ambassador will share the history of Shaker Square’s history and culture. The party continues with an “End of the Trail” cocktail courtesy of Southern Wine and Spirits.
