CLEVELAND, OH – NEO Food Tours “goes Fourth!” on July 20 when Northeast Ohio’s premier walking restaurant tour travels to the E 4th/Historic Gateway District. NEO Food Tours’ debut Downtown Cleveland tour will meet at 6:20 pm at the newly opened Pura Vida by Brandt (170 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115).
Pura Vida, meaning “Pure Life,” not only has to do with the food found at Chef Brandt Evans’ latest restaurant, but is essential to his mindset as well. Located on Public Square, Pura Vida offers an inspired atmosphere serving dishes that Chef Evans says “live for today” and use the finest and freshest local ingredients.
“I’m so excited to be part of the revitalization of Public Square and to join NEO Food Tours,” says Chef Evans, Owner of Pura Vida by Brandt. “There’s such a great energy all over downtown and, as a chef, it’s wonderful to see people enjoying farm fresh, locally grown foods just like Grandma used to make at Pura Vida.”
In addition to Pura Vida, the July 20 E 4th/Historic Gateway District tour includes stops at House of Blues Foundation Room, La Strada and Zinc. Guests will receive a delicious souvenir from Coquette Patisserie and enjoy a post-tour drink at Zinc courtesy of Southern Wine & Spirits.
During the tour, each restaurant will serve a small plate selected specifically for the evening while the chef or owner speaks with guests about what inspires their culinary creations. Between stops, a neighborhood ambassador will guide the tour through the E 4th/Historic Gateway District, sharing stories of a neighborhood at the heart of Downtown Cleveland’s urban renaissance.

The E 4th/Historic Gateway District Tour is the latest installment in NEO Food Tours’ signature restaurant series. These tours on the third Wednesday of every month are at the heart of NEO Food Tours’ mission to create a personal relationship between the attendees, restaurants and neighborhoods of Northeast Ohio. The next stop explores Shaker Square on August 17.
